EVs from Paris Motor Show 13-10-10
At the Paris Motor show this year, Renault debut its gullwing coupe concept car DeZir, 100% electric vehicle with a top speed of 160 mph.
As part of their Zero Emission initiative, the Renault - Nissan alliance and EDF announced that they signed agreements at the Paris Motor Show to further their cooperation in the field of electric mobility to expand their activities. The two parties have agreed to cooperate in the testing and management of batteries. They will also conduct pilot projects to test electric vehicles and innovative charging infrastructure. The creation of mobility offers for electric vehicle customers is also part of the agreements.
Renault - Nissan CEO, Carlos Ghosn commented on the agreement: "We want motorists to see the electric vehicle as a solution that respects the environment, and that is economical, reliable and simple."
In Nissan's EV stable, the hatchback LEAF is well-known and soon available in some markets. This year in Paris, the Japanese manufacturer displayed a cute vehicle called Townpod. This concept EV looks like a mix of a car and commercial van. |
